Simplifying for Health

Before I got so sick in January, I was taking A LOT of vitamins and supplements to help with my journey into menopause. Many of them were designed to boost my body's own estrogen without having to take actual hormones. It was a chore, to say the least and VERY expensive to boot! Also, I felt good but all the vitamin taking had very little effect on my ever increasing hot flashes, etc...

After I was diagnosed with a Pulminary Embolism in February the doctors asked me to stop taking ANY vitamin or supplement that had anything to do with increasing or manipulating my estrogen levels. The reason being, that I had NO other reasons to have a blood clot in my lungs. There was no family history, I am active, I have never smoked, I am vegan (ish) and scans revealed zero blood clots in my legs...the supplements made sense, so I stopped.

Surprising, even to me....I didn't feel any different. As a matter of fact, I started feeling stronger. I still did take some other vitamins, such as a Multi Vitamin and a Calcium supplement but I have cut wayyyy down on the daily amount. My current vitamins of choice are from Rainbow Light because they are all plant based and natural. My stomach accepts these vitamins better and I feel great taking them. They have a multivitamin called Menopause One, which I love and I think has been really effective in helping with the time of life I am currently in.

Along with continued clean eating, yoga, exercise, meditation, essential oils, Reiki and a positive attitude, I am continuing to get stronger all the time.
