I'm feeling MUCH MUCH better...finally! I am still being very careful about taking care of myself by resting, not putting too much on my plate, doing yoga, slowly building my strength, taking my vitamins and oils and eating really clean and healthy.

I have slowly started to teach public classes again (see my class schedule) and I feel more like my old self each and every day!

A BIG part of my healing has been the foods I am putting in my body. I wanted to share this Power Porridge that I invented, using some of my favorite ingredients...it might seem like a lot of staples, but once you have them all, you'll be able to create many yummy breakfasts.  Start cooking a pot of oats or your fave hot cereal. I like to use half water and half almond or flax milk for the liquid. I also add a touch of vanilla and a tiny bit of stevia to my oats as they cook.

In the bottom of the bowl I'm going to enjoy my breakfast out of, I put 1-2 Tblsp almond butter and about 1 Tblsp. maple syrup.

When my cereal is finished, I put the hot mixture on top of the ingredients in my bowl and give a quick stir, then I put in 1 Tblsp. ground flax seeds, 1/4 cup coconut yogurt, some of my adaptogens from Root & Bones (check out their website) and stir it all together.

Now for the toppings! For this creation, I added organic lavender, bee pollen, almonds and fresh berries. It was super yummy and so very good for you. Let me know your thoughts!
